Easy Sandwich Recipes

Sandwiches are easy to prepare and loved by all. You can have them as a starter or a whole meal. The best part of this dish is that, it can be customized as per your taste and can be prepared by anybody.
Sandwich was popularized by the famous Rabbi Hillel the Elder, and since then, there has been no looking back. With so many varieties and options, it only gets better. Here are some recipes that are unique and can be ingested as a snack or meal.

Crabmeat Salad

Ingredients:
  • Crabmeat, 8 oz. (drained)
  • Sour Cream, ¼ cup
  • Celery, ¼ cup (chopped)
  • Salt, ¼ tsp.
  • Worcestershire Sauce, ½ tsp.
  • Cucumber, 8 slices
  • Whole Wheat Bread, 8 slices
Preparation:
Take a mixing bowl and add the drained crabmeat, sour cream, celery, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix them well. Start with spreading crabmeat salad mixture on one slice of bread. Put 2 slices of cucumber on top and then cover it with another slice of bread. Your sandwich is ready.

Greek Tuna Salad Pockets

Ingredients:
  • Lemon Juice, 2 tbsp. (freshly squeezed)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 tbsp.
  • Capers, 2 tsp.
  • Oregano Leaves, 1½ tsp. (crushed)
  • Garlic Powder, ½ tsp.
  • Black Pepper, ½ tsp. (coarsely ground)
  • Albacore Tuna in Water, 7 oz.
  • Tomato, ½ cup (chopped)
  • Red Onion, ¼ cup (minced)
  • Black Olives, ¼ cup (sliced)
  • Feta Cheese, ¼ cup (crumbled)
  • Pita Breads, 2 (8 inches each)
  • Baby Spinach Leaves, 1 bunch
Preparation:
Take a bowl and add lemon juice, olive oil, capers, oregano, garlic powder, and pepper powder. Mix them well. Add tuna, tomatoes, red onions, olives, and cheese. Toss them to coat well. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Next, cut the pita bread in halves and line it with spinach. Place the tuna salad mixture into the 'pockets' of the bread and serve it with some tomato ketchup.

Turkey, Cinnamon and Waldorf

Ingredients:
  • White Turkey Breast Tenderloins, 1¼ cup (cooked and chopped)
  • Red Apple, 1 (chopped)
  • Celery, ¼ cup (diced)
  • Mayonnaise, 3 tbsp.
  • Yogurt, 2 tbsp.
  • Walnuts, 2 tbsp. (crushed)
  • Raisins, 1 tbsp.
  • Nutmeg, ⅛ tsp. (ground)
  • Cinnamon, ⅛ tsp. (ground)
  • Raisin Bread, 8 slices
  • Lettuce Leaves, 4
  • Cinnamon Bread, 8 slices
Preparation:
Take a bowl and add turkey, apple, celery, mayonnaise, yogurt, walnuts, raisins, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix them well. Put this in the refrigerator for 1 hour and let it cool. Meanwhile, toast the bread lightly in a toaster. Spread the mixture on 4 slices of bread, top it with lettuce and the rest of the bread.

Creole Chicken Salad

Ingredients:
  • Mayonnaise, ⅓ cup
  • Jalapeno Pepper Sauce, ½ tsp.
  • Thyme leaves, ½ tsp. (dried and crushed)
  • Black Pepper, ¼ tsp.
  • Breaded Chicken Patties, 10 oz. (cooked and chopped)
  • Celery, ½ cup (chopped)
  • Green Peppers, ½ cup (chopped)
  • Tomatoes, ½ cup (chopped)
  • Kaiser Rolls, 4 (partially split)
  • Lettuce Leaves, 4
Preparation:
Take a large bowl, add the salad dressing, pepper sauce, thyme, and pepper in it. Mix them well. Add chicken, celery, peppers, and tomatoes. Mix properly to coat well. Fill the bread rolls with this mixture, top it with lettuce leaves and serve.
