Waffles are one dish that everyone enjoys. You can have it for breakfast and also as a snack. Here are recipes for this dish.
Mention some of the tastiest breakfast items and you definitely cannot ignore waffles. When topped with syrup and sliced fruits, they make a tasty treat, either as breakfast food or desserts. You can find a plethora of ways to prepare waffle recipes from scratch.

Easy Waffles

Ingredients
  • All-purpose flour, 1½ cups
  • Warm milk, 1½ cups
  • Butter, 3 tbsp.
  • Eggs, 2
  • Sugar, 2 tbsp.
  • Baking powder, 1½ tsp.
  • Pinch of salt
Directions for Preparation
Preheat the waffle iron, according to the manufacturer's instructions. In a large mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Combine well and keep aside. Put butter in a microwave-safe bowl and melt it. Take another small bowl and beat together milk and eggs. Now, add this into the flour mixture.
Whisk well until blended and stir in melted butter. Lightly brush waffle iron with butter and ladle ½ cup batter. Close the iron and cook until the waffle becomes golden brown. Transfer to a platter and serve hot with your favorite toppings.

Basic Waffles

Ingredients
  • All-purpose flour, 3 cups
  • Unsalted butter, 6 tbsp. (melted)
  • Dried powdered buttermilk, ¾ cup
  • Large eggs, 3
  • Sugar, 3 tbsp.
  • Baking powder, 1 tbsp.
  • Baking soda, 1½ tsp.
  • Salt, ¾ tsp.
  • Water, 3 cups
  • Vegetable oil
Directions for Preparation
For making a smooth waffle batter, sift the dry ingredients - flour, sugar, powdered buttermilk, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. After you are done with sifting, transfer them into a dry saucepan. In a large size mixing bowl, beat eggs first, and stir in water and melted butter.
In the meantime, preheat waffle iron to the required baking temperature. Whisk flour mixture into the liquid concoction.
Continue mixing batter until you get a smooth, consistently thick batter base. Use vegetable oil to brush the preheated waffle iron. With a wooden spoon, ladle enough batter onto the waffle iron to fill the slots. Bake waffles for the recommended time period, or till the edges turn light brown in color. These waffles are best served with whipped cream and slices of fresh fruits.

Classic Waffles

  • All-purpose flour, 2 cups
  • Warm milk, 1½ cups
  • Butter, ⅓ cup (melted)
  • Eggs, 2
  • White sugar, 2 tbsp.
  • Baking powder, , 2 tbsp.
  • Vanilla extract, 1 tsp.
  • Salt, 1 tsp.
Directions for Preparation
Take a large mixing bowl and combine together the ingredients - flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well and keep aside. Preheat waffle iron to the required baking temperature. In another medium size bowl, whisk eggs first and then, add milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Fold in this liquid concoction into the flour mixture.
Blend the mixture well, until you get a smooth batter. Pour the batter into the waffle iron and bake till your waffles turn crispy and light golden in color. Drizzle with your favorite fruit syrup and serve hot.
