Things to Make With Ground Beef

One can cook several dishes using ground beef like meatloaf, tacos, hamburgers, etc. You can add ingredients of your choice and come up with a number of delicious recipes.
Ground beef, also known as minced beef or hamburger meat (popularly known in North America) is made from finely chopped beef. This minced meat is usually made from leaner and tougher beef and can be used for preparing roasts, hamburgers, or cottage pies.
Things to make with it are innumerable and each recipe is authentic and deliciously cooked according to the different cuisines across the world.

Tater Tot Casserole With Ground Beef

Ingredients
  • Tater Tots, 1 package
  • Ground Beef, 2 lb.
  • Medium-size Onion, (finely chopped) 1
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup, 1 can
  • Cheddar Cheese, (shredded) 2 cups
  • 2 Stalks of Celery, (chopped) 2
  • Cream of Celery Soup, 1 can
  • Corn, (drained) 1 can
  • Worcestershire Sauce, 2 tbsp.
Directions

In a skillet fry the onions and ground beef together till it turns brown. Transfer the contents into a casserole dish and add celery, Worcestershire sauce, and corn. Now add the cream of celery and cream of mushroom soup, and mix properly with a ladle.
Spread the cheese and arrange the Tater Tots on top. Bake this dish in a preheated oven at 350ºF for about one hour.

Ground Beef Meatballs

Ingredients for Meatballs
  • Lean Ground Beef, 2 lb.
  • Eggs, 2
  • Dried Oregano, 1 tsp.
  • Basil, 1½ tbsp.
  • Bread Crumbs, 1 cup
  • Italian Spice Mix, ½ tsp.
  • Medium-size Onion, (finely chopped) 1
  • Small Clove of Garlic, (minced) 1
  • Parmesan or Romano Cheese, 1 cup
  • Pepper, 1 tsp.
  • Salt to taste
Ingredients for Sauce
  • Spaghetti Sauce, 1 large jar
  • Dried Basil, ½ tsp.
  • Parmesan Cheese, (grated) 2 tbsp.
  • Dried Oregano, ½ tsp.
  • Red Wine, ¼ cup
Directions

In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with all the ingredients and combine well. Roll the beef into medium-sized meatballs and place them in a rectangular baking plate. Cover the meatballs with butter paper and bake it in a microwave on high for about 5 minutes, till the meatballs turn golden brown in color.
Remove the plate from the microwave and keep aside. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the homemade spaghetti sauce with cheese, red wine, and herbs. Combine till they blend together properly.
Transfer the meatballs into the bowl and them in the microwave on high for about 5 minutes till the sauce and meatballs get cooked. Serve this meatball and sauce with cooked rice or spaghetti.

Stroganoff with Ground Beef

Ingredients
  • Ground Beef, 1 lb.
  • Condensed Consommé, 1 can
  • Parsley, (chopped) 1 cup
  • Lemon Juice, 3 tbsp.
  • Sour Cream, 1 cup
  • Green Onion, (sliced) ¼ cup
  • Fresh Mushrooms, (sliced) 8 oz.
  • Red Wine, 3 tbsp.
  • Freshly Ground Pepper, ¼ tsp.
  • Garlic, (minced) 1 clove
  • Egg noodles, 4 oz.
  • Butter, 2 tbsp.
  • Salt to taste
Directions

In a medium-sized skillet, melt butter and add green onion, mushrooms and garlic. Sauté this mixture on a low flame till the onion becomes tender. Add the beef and cook till the meat turns light brown in color. Mix consommé, pepper, red wine, lemon juice, and salt. Allow it to simmer on a low flame for about 15 minutes.
Transfer the egg noodles into the skillet and cook it for about 10 minutes, till the noodles become tender. Stir in the sour cream and mix properly. Transfer the contents into a serving dish and garnish with finely chopped parsley.

Ground Beef Hamburger

Ingredients
  • Ground Beef, 1½ lb.
  • Split Buns, 6
  • Onion, (chopped) 1½ cups
  • Horseradish, (prepared) 2 tsp.
  • Butter, 2 tbsp.
  • Pepper, ¼ tsp.
  • Mustard, (prepared) 2 tsp.
  • Salt to taste
Directions

In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with pepper and salt, and combine well. Form thin patties out of the minced beef and arrange them in a plate. In a skillet, melt the butter and fry onions till they turn golden brown. Stir in mustard, horseradish and salt. Spread this mixture on top of six patties.
Press the remaining six patties on top and keep them in a refrigerator for about one hour. Now grill the patties till they turn brown on both sides and place them inside the split buns. You can serve it with tomato or mayonnaise sauce and coleslaw salad.
You can serve most of the dishes with a rich brown sauce and a glass of red wine.
