Round steak, 2 lb.
Chopped green bell pepper, 3 tbsp.
Oil, 3 tbsp.
Chopped onions, ½ cup
Flour, ¼ cup
Diced tomatoes, 1 can

Directions Cut the steak into small pieces. In a saucepan, add the flour, salt, and pepper, and pound the steak pieces in to the flour. Now in another saucepan, add some oil and brown the meat well.
Add tomatoes and onions to the pan and cover it to cook on low flame for about 1½ hours. Then add the green pepper and cook it for another 15 minutes. Skim it off well and serve hot with some onions and lemons.
Swiss Steak With Mushrooms
Ingredients
Butter, 2 tbsp.
Fresh sliced mushrooms, 8 oz.
Chopped onions, 2 tbsp.
Olive oil, 1 tbsp.
Boneless round steak, 1½ lb.
Flour, ½ cup
Salt and pepper
Directions In a large saucepan, heat olive oil and butter over high heat. Sauté the onions and mushrooms till they are tender, remove them and keep aside. Cut the steak in several portions and pound them in the flour. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper and brown it in olive oil till it turns soft and crispy.
When the steak is ready add the beef broth, onions, and mushrooms and cover the top. Leave it to simmer on low flame for about 45 minutes till the meat is tender. Add salt and pepper to taste and some more water if the steak starts drying off. Once well-cooked, serve the steak with some rice.
Swiss Steak with Cube Steak

Cubed steak, 4
Beer, 1 cup
Flour, 1 cup
Beef stock, 3 cups
Olive oil, 2 tbsp.
Cornstarch
Rosemary
Salt and Pepper

In a pan, mix the flour, salt, and pepper, and dip the cube steaks in it. In a saucepan add some olive oil and fry the steak in it till it turns brown and tender.
Pour the stock and beer in the saucepan and heat it over low flame with the steak for about 30 minutes. When the meat is cooked, add the cornstarch to thicken the gravy and serve it with rosemary garnished over it.
Swiss Steak with Cream of Mushroom Soup

Shortening, 2 tsp.
Water, 1 cup
Round steak, 1½ lb.
Chopped canned tomatoes, ½ cup
Condensed mushroom soup, 1 can
Finely chopped onions, ¼ cup
Salt and pepper
Directions Cut the round steak into small portions and in a skillet brown it with some shortening. Add the onions, tomatoes and mushroom soup along with some water and close the top with a lid. Cook it on low flame for about 30 minutes till the meat is tender and soft. Serve it hot with brown rice or bread.
