Strawberry jello, 1 package
Pretzel sticks (finely crushed) 2 cups
Cream cheese, 8 ounces
Fresh strawberries, sliced, 2 ½ cups
Granulated sugar, 3 tablespoons
Whipped cream, 8 ounces
Butter, softened, ¾ cup
Boiling water, 2 cups
Granulated sugar, 8 ounces
Directions to Make
1. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, butter and sugar together. Transfer this into a 9x13 baking pan and press them into the base of the it as if to form a crust. When this is done, place it in the oven and bake for 6-8 minutes. When the crust turns light brown in color, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
2. In another medium-sized mixing bowl, whip the cream cheese, whipped cream, and 8 ounces of granulated sugar together. Stir till all the ingredients are fully combined and then transfer the whole thing into the baking dish that has the pretzel crust.
3. In the vessel containing 2 cups of boiling water, empty the strawberry package and stir. Fold in the fresh strawberry slices and mix till the jello is fully dissolved. Pour this into the baking dish that has the crust and keep it in the refrigerator till the jello is fully set.
Pineapple - Strawberry Pretzel Jello Recipe
Though the mentioned recipe is a basic one, you can make some changes in the ingredients according to your choice. Here is another strawberry pretzel jello recipe to try at home.
Ingredients Required
Ground pretzels, 16 ounces
Cream cheese, 8 ounces
Frozen strawberries, 10 ounces
Prepared dream whip, 12 ounce
Miniature marshmallows, 16 ounces
Confectioner's sugar, 16 ounces
Butter, 1½ sticks
Strawberry jello, 3 ounces
Boiling pineapple juice, 16 ounces
Directions to Make
1. Melt butter in a small saucepan and combine it with the pretzels. Place the butter and pretzels mixture in a baking dish to make a crust. Bake at 400 ºF for 10-12 minutes, until it turns brown in color. Take it out of the oven and allow it cool for some time.
2. In a medium-sized bowl, mix cream cheese, and confectioner's sugar together and later add dream whip to the bowl. Stir till the ingredients are well-combined and pour this over the cooled crust. Place this in the refrigerator for some time.
3. In another bowl, take strawberry jello and pour boiled pineapple juice over it. When the jello is completely dissolved, take out the crust from the refrigerator and pour the jello in it. Place the baking pan in the refrigerator till the jello has become fully firm.
The end result of both these processes will be a red jello layer that is filled with strawberries, whipped cream and pretzels. Cut them into squares and serve with some extra strawberries and cool whip, if desired.
