Strawberry Pie Filling

A pie can be served with various types of fillings. This story will give you information about the sweet and delicious strawberry filling.
Out of all the fruity and creamy fillings that are used in pie recipes, the taste of ones made with strawberries, is extremely delicious. Here are some recipes that can be prepared by using very basic ingredients and a simple methodology.

Basic

Ingredients Required
  • Strawberries, 8 cups
  • Sugar, 1½ cups
  • Water, 1½ cups
  • Cornstarch, 6 tbsp.
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
  • Baked crust, 1
Method
Take a bowl and put strawberries in it. Crush them completely and mix with water. Pour this mixture in a pan and bring it to boil. Let the mixture simmer for about five minutes. Next, strain out the juice from the mixture and add one cup of water to it. Add sugar, cornstarch, and salt to the pan. Pour the juice strained earlier in the pan.
Bring the mixture to boil, let it simmer till it becomes thick. Remove the mixture from the stove and let it cool. Take a baked crust and put some whole strawberries on it. Pour the mixture prepared earlier on it. Refrigerate for a few hours and serve chilled.

With Cornstarch and Jello

Ingredients Required
  • Strawberries, 8 cups
  • Baked pie crust, 1
  • Strawberry jello, 2 package
  • Cornstarch, 15 tbsp.
  • Sugar, 4 cups
  • 7 up, 2 bottles
Method
Take a pan and pour cornstarch, Jello, sugar, and 7 up in it. Bring the mixture to boil and then let it simmer till it gets thick. Remove it from the stove and let it cool. In the meantime, take a baked pie crust and put the fresh strawberries on it. Now pour the filling prepared earlier on the strawberries. Cut the baked crust into pieces. Serve this with vanilla ice cream as both go really well together.

With Cream Cheese

Ingredients Required
  • Baked pie crust, 1
  • Fresh strawberries, 2 cups
  • Sugar, 2 cups
  • Cornstarch, 6 tbsp.
  • Water, 1½ cups
  • Cream cheese, 2 tbsp.
Method
Take a bowl and put fresh strawberries in it. Crush them and add sugar, and cornstarch. Take a pan and pour water in it. Put the mixture prepared earlier into the pan and bring it to boil. Let the mixture simmer for about four to five minutes. Remove the mixture and let it cool.
Take the cream cheese and beat it repeatedly, till it becomes soft and smooth. Spread the smoothened cream evenly on the baked pie. Now place fresh strawberries over it. Pour the mixture prepared earlier over the baked pie shell. Keep it in the refrigerator for a few hours and serve when chilled.
