Soccer Ball Cupcakes

For this, you'll require white butter cream frosting and black icing. What you have to do is, cover the top of the cupcake with white butter cream frosting and let it dry and become a little hard. In the meantime, fill your icing tube with the black icing.
When the frosting is dry enough, draw hexagons, like you see on a soccer ball. And fill alternate ones with the black icing. Do this on all the cupcakes. Soccer cupcakes is a fantastic idea to decorate the birthday cake.

On the Field

For this idea, you'll need to have green, white and black icing. First, make grass on the top of the cupcake using the green icing. Then, with the white and black icing, make a small soccer ball in the center of the grass.

Now, take the green frosting and cover all of them to represent grass. Then, you can draw a soccer ball with the white and black icing. Use white wafer biscuits as the goals and draw some figures (in the team color icing). Your live soccer match is ready. People can select which part of the match they want to eat!

Cupcake Recipe

As an added treat, here's a simple recipe for a yummy vanilla cupcakes. Try it out and dish out some delicious cupcakes for the aforementioned ideas.
Ingredients
  • Vanilla, 1½ tsp
  • Flour, 2 cups
  • Egg whites, 4 eggs
  • 2% fat milk, 1 cup
  • Salt, ½ tsp
  • Baking powder, 3 tsps
  • Sugar, 1½ cup
  • Eggs, 2
  • Shortening, ½ cup
Directions
  • Keep the oven preheated at 350º.
  • In the meantime, take soccer cupcake liners and arrange them in the cupcake pan.
  • Take all the ingredients (except egg whites) in a large mixing bowl and mix it at low-speed for 2-3 minutes.
  • Then, add the egg whites and mix again, this time at high-speed for another 2-3 minutes or until the mixture appears smooth.
  • Fill this batter into the cupcake liners (about ¾) and place the pan in the oven.
  • Let the cakes bake for about 25 minutes and let them cool down for another 10 minutes.
