Pasta and seafood make a great combination for different delicious recipes. Here are some sumptuous seafood pasta recipes that could be a wonderful treat for your family members.
Pasta has an Italian origin and it comes in about 350 different shapes. It has gained a lot of popularity all over the world. It is recognized by various names according to its shapes such as macaroni (hollow cylinders), spaghetti (thin, solid cylinders), gnocchi (balls), or fusilli (swirls).
A unique combination of pasta and seafood including fish, shellfish, prawns, and lobsters can be used to prepare versatile and mouth-watering recipes. These dishes are perfect for weekend parties or cocktail parties. So let's get some information about them.

Pasta with Smoked Salmon

Ingredients
  • Dried Pasta, 1.10 lb.
  • Smoked Salmon, 0.55 lb.
  • White Wine, 5 oz.
  • Parmesan Cheese, (grated)
  • Carton Double Cream, 5 oz.
Preparation
Cook pasta in boiling water and drain it. Add some olive oil in order to prevent the pasta tubes from sticking to each other. Bring wine to boil in a large pan. Then add salmon, cheese and cream. Heat it on a low flame. Add this cream sauce to the pasta. Mix it thoroughly and pour it into a serving plate. This dish goes well with some crusty bread and chopped tomato, cucumber and onion salad.

Prawn Pasta with Courgettes and Chili

Ingredients
  • Dried Pasta, 0.50 lb.
  • Courgette, (cut into thin strips) 1
  • Fresh Green Chili, (chopped) 1
  • Olive Oil, 2 tbsp.
  • Prawn or Shrimp, (frozen or fresh ) 0.45 lb.
  • Fresh Ripe Tomatoes, (skinned and chopped) 4
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • Fresh Parsley, (chopped)
  • Parmesan Cheese, (grated)
Preparation
Cook pasta in boiling water for about 10 minutes, until it becomes tender. Add courgette and chili to the hot olive oil and gently fry for about 3-5 minutes, until they start to soften. Then add tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes. Add prawns and fry them for about 2 minutes.
Then add chopped parsley and heat for about a minute. Add a few twists of black pepper. Drain pasta and add cooked prawns to it. Serve it immediately with some freshly grated Parmesan cheese and crusty bread.

Shrimp and Crab Macaroni Salad

Ingredients
  • Elbow Macaroni, (uncooked ) 3 cups
  • Celery, (diced) 2 strips
  • Eggs, 5
  • Green Bell Pepper, (diced) ½
  • Onion, (minced) ½
  • Crab Meat, ½ lb.
  • Fresh Shrimp, (peeled and deveined) ½ lb.
  • Milk, ½ cup
  • Mayonnaise, 1 cup
  • Fresh Mint, 1 tsp.
  • Dried Dill Weed, 1 tsp.
  • 2 teaspoons cocktail sauce, 2 tsp.
  • White Sugar, ½ tsp.
  • Hot Pepper Sauce, ⅛ tsp.
  • Salt, 1 tsp.
  • Paprika, (for garnishing) 2 tsp.
Preparation
Place the eggs in the saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring water to boil and quickly remove it from the heat. Cover the pan and allow the eggs to rest in the hot water for about 10-12 minutes. Remove the eggs from the hot water and let them cool down. Peel the eggs and chop 4 of them.
Reserve 1 egg for garnishing. Bring some lightly-salted water to boil in a large pot. Add pasta and cook it for about 8-10 minutes. Mix eggs, macaroni, onion, celery, crab meat, shrimp, and green pepper in a large mixing bowl.
In another mixing bowl, whisk together milk, mayonnaise, mint, dill, sugar, salt, hot pepper sauce, and cocktail sauce. Pour the dressing mixture into the macaroni and mix them thoroughly. Sprinkle some paprika on the top and decorate it with the sliced egg. Seal the bowl with a plastic wrap and refrigerate it for about 4-6 hours.
