Sandwiches for Kids

Sandwiches are the perfect evening snack and you can keep experimenting with the ingredients to make some interesting mouth-watering treats.
The first sandwich can be traced back to the 1st century; they have stood the test of time, no wonder one rarely comes across a person who doesn't like sandwiches. These snacks are ideal for parties, one can make them quickly, and you can be sure that everyone's taste buds will be satisfied. Some of these are so easy that kids can prepare them on their own.

Chicken Salad Sandwiches

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups, chicken breast
  • 1 cup, tomato (sliced)
  • 2 tbspn, lime juice
  • 1 cup, mayonnaise
  • 12 bread slices
  • Salt and Pepper to taste.
Preparation:
  • Mix the chicken, mayonnaise, tomato, and lime juice together. Add in a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Butter the bread slice if desired and using a spoon, place the salad on it.
  • Add a slice of cheese and a pinch of mustard if you want.
  • Cover the bread with another slice on the top.
  • Slice the sandwich diagonally from the center to form a triangle.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup, peanut butter
  • 1 cup, jelly
  • 8 bread slices
Preparation:
  • Spread the peanut butter on 4 slices and spread the jelly on the remaining 4 slices.
  • Place one slice of peanut butter over a slice of jelly so that they stick together. Serve.

Veggie Salad Wrap

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup, hummus
  • 2, tomatoes (sliced)
  • 2, celery stalks (diced)
  • 1, lettuce leaf (diced)
  • Some olives and salad dressing
  • 6 tortillas
Preparation:
  • Mix the tomatoes, celery, lettuce, and any other vegetable you want to add.
  • Spread the hummus on the tortillas, and top it with the salad.
  • Add the salt, pepper, and salad dressing to the wrap.

Sliced Ham Mustard Sandwich with Cheese

Ingredients:
  • ½ cup, cabbage (shredded)
  • 2, tomatoes (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon, mustard
  • 9 ounces, cooked ham
  • 4 cheese slices
  • 6 bread slices
Preparation:
  • Butter the bread, add some shredded cabbage to it, and then place the tomatoes over the cabbage.
  • Place a slice of ham on this, then the mustard and the cheese slice, and cover it with another slice of bread.
  • Cut diagonally to form two triangles and cut diagonally again so that you get 4 triangle-shaped sandwiches.

Tuna Sandwich

Ingredients:
  • 1 ounce butter
  • 1½ cup, tuna salad
  • 1 tablespoon, mustard
  • ½ cup, tomatoes and cabbage (diced)
  • ½ cup, cream cheese
  • 6 sandwich bread slices
Preparation:
  • To begin with, spread the cream cheese on the inside of the bread.
  • Mix the tuna and the diced tomatoes and cabbage together.
  • Add the salt, pepper, and mustard to this.
  • Place the mixture inside the bread. Cut into small pieces and serve.

Egg and Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients:
  • 1 ounce, butter
  • 2 eggs, (boiled and chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon, mustard
  • ½ cup, chicken (cooked and shredded)
  • ½ cup, cream cheese
  • 6 sandwich bread slices
Preparation:
  • Mix the egg with the chicken.
  • Add some mustard to the mixture.
  • Spread the cream cheese over the bread slices, place a slice of cheese on them, top them with the egg-chicken mixture, and serve.
