Recipe III

Ingredients
  • Dry white wine - ¼ cup
  • Butter - ¼ cup
  • Skim milk - as per requirement
  • Chopped clams (canned) - 1 ½ cup
  • Flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Minced garlic - 1 large clove
  • Chopped parsley - ¼ cup
  • Thyme - ½ teaspoon
  • Salt and Pepper - as per taste
How to Prepare

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and saute for a minute, before stirring in the flour. Make sure to stir well, as the flour may form clumps. Once you take out the clams from the can, you have to mix the juice in the can with wine. If the mixture falls short of two cups, add enough skin milk. Now, you have to add this mixture to the skillet.
Instead of adding it in whole, pour in small batches and stir well. Allow the mixture to cook till it thickens. The next step is to add the chopped parsley, thyme, salt and pepper. Cooke over low heat for around eight to ten minutes. Add the clams and cook for another few minutes, before you remove the skillet from heat. Your white sauce is ready to serve with pasta.
