A mudslide is a drink that is mostly prepared with coffee, ice cream, and chocolate. It can also be prepared by adding an appropriate amount of alcohol. This delicious cocktail is a favorite of those who love chocolate. The calories in a single serving usually depend on the amount of ice cream, whipped cream, and other ingredients, used. A basic mudslide cocktail contains about 440 calories.

How to Make a Mudslide Drink

Ingredients
  • 1½ oz., vodka
  • 1½ oz., Kahlua
  • 1½ oz., Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1½ oz., heavy cream
  • 2 scoops, chocolate ice cream
  • 1 scoop, vanilla ice cream
  • 8 cubes, ice
Method
Crush the ice cubes in a blender. Now, add the Irish cream, chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream, and heavy cream, to it; blend well. Then, add the vodka and Kahlua to the mixture and blend it, again. Pour the drink into a cocktail glass. You can garnish the drink with chocolate shavings, and finish it off with a drink umbrella.

Mudslide Drink with Ice Cream

Ingredients
  • 1 dollop, whipped cream
  • 2 scoops, vanilla ice cream
  • 1½ oz., vodka
  • Chocolate syrup
  • 1½ oz., Irish cream liqueur
  • 1½ oz., coffee-flavored liqueur
Method
  • Prepare the drink in a blender and enjoy it in an unusually shaped cocktail glass.
  • Add the vodka, Irish cream liqueur, coffee-flavored liqueur, and vanilla ice cream, to the blender.
  • Blend the ingredients until they're all mixed well.
  • Drizzle some chocolate syrup around the insides of the cocktail glass.
  • Pour the smooth mixture from the blender into the glass and top it off with the whipped cream.
  • If you're a chocolate addict, you can add some more chocolate syrup to the blender's contents.

How to Decorate a Drink

Making a cocktail is not enough, you also have to make it look attractive. Its presentation should be beautiful, so that it becomes a rage at your parties. Here are some tips:
  • Always serve your cocktail in oddly shaped glasses so that they look funky.
  • Frost the rim of a cocktail glass by dipping it into a solution of lemon juice and powdered sugar.
  • Decorate your glasses with swizzle sticks, drink umbrellas, straws, or paper flowers.
  • Place cocktail sticks in each drink and fruit slices on the rim of each one.
  • Always use crushed ice. To make this, place the ice cubes in a plastic bag and crush them with a hard object.
