Pork tenderloin is a lean meat as it is low in saturated fat. Here are a few recipes that include amazing and flavorful ingredients to marinate the meat.
Lemon-Garlic Marinated Pork Tenderloin
Ingredients
Pork Tenderloins, 1½ lbs
Lemon Zest (grated), 1 tablespoon
Lemon Juice, ¾ cup
Olive Oil, ½ cup + 3 tablespoons
Minced Garlic, 2 tablespoons
Rosemary Leaves, 1½ tablespoons
Thyme Leaves, 1 tablespoon
Mustard, 2 teaspoons
Salt and Black Pepper, as per taste
Method
In a large plastic bag, mix lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary leaves, thyme, mustard, salt, and black pepper in.
Add pork tenderloin to it, seal the bag, and toss around to coat the meat properly.
Place the meat in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the meat from the marinade and discard the liquid.
In a large oven proof pan, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat and sear the tenderloin on all sides till it has a golden brown color on the outside.
Remove the pan from heat and place it in the preheated oven. Roast the tenderloin for 10 to 15 minutes or till the meat thermometer reads 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove the tenderloin from the oven, cover with aluminum foil, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Carve diagonal slices and serve with green salad.
Honey, Garlic, and Ginger Marinated Pork Tenderloin
Ingredients
Pork Tenderloin, 1½ pounds
Soy Sauce, ¼ cup
Apple Juice, ¼ cup
Garlic Cloves (minced), 4 cloves
Ginger Root (minced), 1 tablespoon
Sesame Oil, 2 teaspoons
Honey, ½ cup
Cider Vinegar, 1 tablespoon
Salt and Black Pepper, as per taste
Method
In a large plastic bag, combine soy sauce, apple juice, ginger root, and sesame oil together.
Add pork to the marinade, seal the bag, and toss the meat around to coat thoroughly.
Place the bag in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, remove pork from the bag, and discard the marinade.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk honey, vinegar, and salt together.
Brush pork with this honey mixture and place it on a rack in a roasting pan.
Let it roast for about 35 minutes or till the meat thermometer reads 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before you carve it.
