Jello Cake Recipes

Ingredients

• White or yellow cake mix - 1 pkt
• Instant pudding mix - 1 pkt (small)
• Milk - 1½ cups
• Whipped cream - for topping

This is a basic jello cake recipe that can be prepared easily. Prepare the batter according to the instructions on the packet. Bake the cake in a 13 x 9 square pan. Once the cake is done, allow it to cool. Meanwhile, prepare the jello. Poke holes through the cake randomly. The holes must run through the entire length of the cake.

Pour the warm (not set) jello over the holes, so that it reaches the bottom of the pan and covers the cake. Once you are done, refrigerate the cake. Take it out of the refrigerator, once the jello sets. You can make the topping by combining the pudding mix, milk, and whipped cream. Beat them to a fluffy consistency, and apply the topping all over the cake.

If you want a lemon jello cake, use a lemon-flavored jello, with lemon pudding mix and lemon cake mix. The preparation method is same as given in the earlier recipe. Bake the cake, poke holes, pour the jello, refrigerate, apply the topping, and serve. If you want a jello pudding cake, you can use pudding as topping. Otherwise, whipped cream will be sufficient for topping. You may also go for jello cake decorations like candy sprinkles.

Similarly, a strawberry jello cake can be prepared with strawberry-flavored jello, yellow or white cake mix, whipped cream, and some frozen strawberries. Once the cake is done and the jello is half set over the cake, add a layer of crushed strawberries on the top. Now, cover these strawberries with whipped cream. Your strawberry jello cake is ready, and you can serve it chilled.
