How to Oven Roast Asparagus

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs of fresh asparagus
  • 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Freshly ground pepper according to taste
  • Kosher salt according to taste
Method of Preparation
Initially, the oven should be preheated to 400 degrees F. Now, you should clean the asparagus and cut off the tough ends. Also if you find the asparagus to be very thick, peel off with a peeler. Next, place the asparagus in the baking sheet and drizzle with oil. You can toss the asparagus so that the oil is evenly spread all over it.
Now sprinkle the black pepper and Kosher salt all over the asparagus. Toss again so that it is spread evenly. Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 25 minutes. Take out after the prescribed time, the asparagus should be crisp and tender.

How to Roast Asparagus on a Grill

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs of fresh asparagus
  • 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Freshly ground pepper according to taste
  • Kosher salt according to taste
Method of Preparation
The recipe for roasting asparagus on the grill is more or less same as the oven. The grill should be preheated to medium-hot. Now, same as above, coat the asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper. The asparagus should be placed on the grill crosswise to the grate.
Make sure that you lay the asparagus in a single layer. Grill the asparagus until their color changes to a slight brown (for approx. 8-10 minutes). You should roll the asparagus in between to prevent them from getting burnt. When done, remove from the grill and serve immediately!

Roasted Asparagus with Garlic

Ingredients
  • 1 lbs of asparagus
  • 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2-4 diced cloves of garlic
  • Freshly ground black pepper according to taste
  • Kosher salt according to taste
  • Zest of 1 lemon
Method of Preparation
This is also an oven recipe, but with some other ingredients. The oven should be preheated to 375 degrees F. Follow the procedure of cleaning the asparagus and cutting off its tough ends. Then coat the asparagus with oil, salt and pepper.
Spread the diced garlic and lemon zest randomly on top of the asparagus in the baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. The asparagus will appear tender and crispy after the prescribed time. Serve immediately.
