Did You Know?
It is believed that the 'Martini Glass' was discovered during the prohibition era. It's unique conical mouth allowed the consumer to easily dispose the banned liquor during a police incursion.
The classic martini is a dry cocktail made up of gin and vermouth, and garnished with olives or lemon zest. Over the years, this drink has gained immense popularity, and has been served in numerous versions developed from the original.
The drink was created for the first time somewhere between 1862 to 1876, and gets its name from the city of Martinez, California.
It is believed that the way of mixing a martini does create a significant difference in its taste. A shaken martini tastes different than a stirred one (do try this).
The original martini consisted of a cherry garnish, instead of olives or lemon twists, and was served in a glass with a long stem and a cone-shaped mouth, also popularly called the martini glass.
Modern martinis are made up of fruit juice, vodka or white rum, and garnished with fresh fruits. So, how to make a mango martini cocktail? You just need to follow the simple instructions given next.
