Mojito, pronounced as Moe-hee-toe, is a classic Cuban cocktail traditionally served in a Collins glass. Rum is the primary alcohol used in the drink, and is usually served over ice.

Traditional Mojito

Serves - 2

Ingredients
  • Lime, 16 pieces
  • Mint leaves, with sprigs, 10―15
  • Fine sugar, 2 tablespoons
  • White rum, 4 oz.
  • Lime pieces, garnish
  • Club soda
  • Crushed ice
Directions
In a muddle, mash lime pieces with mint leaves along with sugar. Once the lime juice dissolves the sugar, divide the contents in two Collins glasses. Add ice cubes in, and pour white rum and club soda in each glass. Garnish the drinks with some more lime pieces and mint leaves.

Blueberry Mojito

Serves - 2

Ingredients
  • Mint leaves, 12
  • Light rum, 3 oz.
  • Lime juice, 1 tablespoon
  • Raw sugar, 1 teaspoon
  • Blueberries, fresh, ¼ cup
  • Crushed ice
Directions
In a bowl, add mint leaves, fresh blueberries, sugar, and lime juice together. Take a muddler to crush everything properly so that you get an almost paste-like mixture. Next, take the shaker and add rum along with crushed ice. Add the mixture in the shaker and mix properly. Strain the drink evenly in the glasses, and garnish with more mint leaves. Serve the drinks and have a blast!
* If you don't have blueberries, you can also add strawberry purée, raspberry rum along with fresh raspberries, or mango-flavored rum along with fresh mango pieces to this recipe.
