I think cookies are sort of the unsung sweet, you know? They're incredibly popular. But everybody thinks of cakes and pies and fancier desserts before they think cookies. A plate of cookies is a great way to end dinner and really nice to share at the holidays.

Making and baking desserts is considered to be a culinary activity that requires artistic skill sets and special understanding of taste buds. It is because of this cloud of complexity that surrounds dessert making, that many refrain from it and simply substitute it with a ready-to-eat purchase.
However, there is a simple solution for all of you who usually experiment with their culinary skills.

Deep-fried Oreos are your answer for all those impromptu parties and an occasional craving for something sweet post dinner. Frying Oreos is super simple and does not require any special ingredients.
A regular packet of Oreos can be good enough to serve 2 to 3 people. So, without further ado, here's taking a look at how to make deep-fried Oreos at home.
We know that long exposure to moisture makes biscuits soggy and no more fun to eat. As your Oreos go through stages to get deep-fried, they will lose their crunch.
Refrigerate Oreos
However, to do your best to maintain their texture, refrigerate the biscuits. Empty the Oreo packet in an airtight container, and place it in the deep freezer for about 4 hours. This way, the Oreos will freeze and become totally chilled right up to the core.
Make the Pancake Batter
Ingredients
  • Self-rising or all-purpose flour, 2 cups (18 oz./510 g)
  • Milk, 1½ cups
  • Eggs, 2 or 3
  • Sugar, 5 tablespoons
  • Baking powder, ½ teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract, ½ teaspoon
  • Salt, as per taste
Method
  • Crack open the eggs in a bowl and beat them till they are fluffy.
  • Add all the dry ingredients and leave them without stirring for about 2 minutes.
  • Next, melt the butter in a microwave oven.
  • Add the butter to the milk, and pour this mixture in the earlier bowl, slowly stirring the batter.
  • Blend till the mixture is completely smooth. Ensure that the batter is thicker than the usual times, as it will help in making a denser coating.
Place a skillet on the stove. Pour in about 2 - 3 inches of cooking oil. Use a deeper skillet so that you can toss and turn your Oreos while deep-frying them. Deeper the utensil, more convenient it is to fry them.
Ready the Oil
Before you begin frying the Oreos, dip them one by one in the batter. Make sure that the biscuits are well-covered with the pancake batter.
Fry Them Right
The layer of the batter has to be even on all sides and thick enough. Place the Oreos in the skillet and keep some distance between them. This will prevent them from sticking to each other. This will also allow the coating to rise, making your bite fluffy. Keep turning the biscuits to prevent them from burning.
Once biscuits are deep-fried, remove them from the skillet and place them on a paper to soak extra oil. Dust  Oreos with confectioners' sugar, add a dollop of jam on top to make them look right out of a dream!
Serve Them Right
So, this was a very simple way of making deep-fried Oreos at home. These can be served as snack items too. You can pair them with a cool drink or a fruit shake to counter the sweetness.
