Healthy Recipes to Make Refreshing Milkshakes

Milkshakes are cool, fun, and nutritious. They are loved by almost all age groups and can be prepared easily.

What can beat an icy cold thick milkshake drink? And milkshake recipes are such fun to make. Add chocolate, or the classic banana, or strawberry, or plain old vanilla along with fun ingredients like jello, dates, coconuts, or pineapple to your favorite flavor of ice cream along with wholesome milk, blend them in a blender and pour the milkshake into tall glasses. You thus, have your very own homemade milkshake recipe to sip and savor.

Tropical Sunshine Shake

  • 2 cups, milk
  • 1 cup, vanilla yogurt (frozen)
  • 2 cups, mango (peeled, pitted, and cubed)
  • 1½ cups, papaya (peeled, seeded, and cubed)
  • 1 cup, orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons, sugar
  • 1 cup, crushed ice
Put the sugar, yogurt, orange juice, papaya, mangos, and milk in a blender and blend until smooth. Then, add the crushed ice and blend some more.

Lime Delight

  • 1 scoop, vanilla ice cream
  • 1 scoop, lime sherbert
  • 1/4 cup, milk
  • Crushed ice
  • Thin slices of fresh lime
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Serve with thin slices of lime on the rims of the serving glasses.

Frosty Strawberry Milkshake

  • 1 pint, vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup, milk
  • 1 can, pink lemonade (frozen)
  • 1 packet, frozen strawberries
  • A few fresh strawberries
Put all the ingredients except the fresh strawberries in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into tall glasses and garnish each with the fresh strawberries.

Cherry n' Chocolate Shake

  • 3/4 cup, cold milk
  • 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup, chocolate syrup
  • 3 maraschino cherries (with the stems removed)
  • Some more cherries and whipped topping
Put the milk, ice cream, cherries, and chocolate syrup in a blender and process until it becomes smooth. Pour into serving glasses and top with the whipped topping and a cherry on each.

Coffee n' Banana Shake

  • 1/4 cup, milk
  • 1 scoop coffee ice cream
  • 1/4 cup, espresso (strong)
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 cup, crushed ice
  • Whipped cream
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Some chocolate shavings
Put all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour the milkshake into a tall glass, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with the cinnamon, nutmeg, and chocolate shavings.
