Hamburgers can be considered as the staple food for most of the Americans. Here are some interesting recipes that you can grill at home.
Grilled hamburgers are one of the most popular food items many people opt for, when they do not have time to prepare an elaborate meal. It is amongst the most popular foods in the United States. If you love them, then here are some delicious recipes that you can prepare at home.

Basic Recipe

Ingredients
  • Beef, 1½ lbs. (ground)
  • Onion, 2 tbsp. (grated)
  • Salt and Pepper (for seasoning)
  • Tomatoes, 1 (sliced)
  • Pickle, 1 (sliced)
  • Onion, 1 (sliced)
  • Lettuce (optional)
  • Condiments (as desired)
  • Tomato Juice, 2 tbsp.
  • Fine Dry Bread Crumbs, 3 tbsp.
  • Worcestershire Sauce, 2 tsp.
  • Garlic Powder, ½ tsp.
Preparation
Prepare the grill on a high heat. Combine beef with the bread crumbs and add tomato juice, garlic powder, onion, and Worcestershire sauce. Shape the meat into 4 round patties. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides for seasoning. Place the burgers on a grill that has been lightly oiled. Grill them for about 6 minutes evenly on each side. Once done, serve it with toasted buns along with some vegetables and condiments of your choice.

With American Cheese and Flour Tortillas

Ingredients
  • Beef, 2 lbs. (ground)
  • Breadcrumbs, 1 cup
  • Egg, 1
  • Salt and Pepper, as per taste
  • Dried Chives, 1 dash
  • Salsa, 8 tbsp.
  • Red Onion, 1 (sliced)
  • American Cheese, 8 slices
  • Tomatoes, 2 (sliced)
  • Ranch Dip, 1 tbsp.
  • Fresh Cilantro, 2 tsp.
  • Lettuce, 1 cup (shredded)
  • Flour Tortillas, 8
  • Red Pepper, 1 dash (ground)
Preparation
First, place the beef in a bowl and combine it with breadcrumbs, red pepper, eggs, and chives. Sprinkle some salt and pepper, as per your taste. Then, divide this mixture into 4 sections. Add salsa and cilantro to each section. Make large circular patties and cut it into half. Place this on the hot barbecue.
Let it cook for 6 minutes evenly on both sides. Add one flour tortilla and cheese on top of each patty. Once done, fold over. Grill again for a few minutes, till the cheese melts. Serve it hot.

With Sour Cream and Dijon Mustard

Ingredients
  • Sour Cream, 3 tbsp.
  • Hamburger Buns, 2
  • Tomato, 1 (sliced)
  • Lettuce Leaves, 2 (shredded)
  • Dijon Mustard, 3 tbsp.
  • Beef, 10 oz. (lean and ground)
  • Fresh Dill, 1½ tbsp. (chopped)
Preparation
First, prepare the barbecue on a medium-high heat. Mix the sour cream, Dijon mustard, and dill together in a large bowl. Put 3 tbsp. of sauce in this bowl. Add the meat to the remaining sauce and blend well. Now, you need to divide the meat mixture into two equal proportions. Flatten each into a ½ inch thick patty.
Use some salt and pepper for seasoning. Then, grill the cut side of the buns till they get toasted well. Grill the patties, till they get cooked perfectly. Spread the reserved sauce on the lower area of the buns. Now, you would need to top each with tomatoes, lettuce, and sliced burger bun. Serve it hot.
