  • Celery stalks, 12
  • Cream cheese, 1 pack (room temperature)

Preparation

1. Wash each celery stick nicely and keep the sticks aside.2. In a separate bowl, add cream cheese, garlic, and salt and mix well.
3. With a knife, spread the cream cheese and fill up the celery cavities.
4. Now, sprinkle some paprika for taste and color. Finally, cut the celery sticks into half and keep them for cooling.

Spinach Dip with Hawaiian Bread

Ingredients
  • Chopped scallions, 3
  • Hawaiian round bread, 1 (Take a bowl and scoop the middle part out in a round shape)
  • Vegetable soup recipe mix, 1 packet
  • Drained and chopped chestnuts, 1 can
  • Sour cream, 1 can
  • Spinach, frozen and chopped, 10 oz.
  • Mayo, 1 cup
Preparation

1. In a medium-sized bowl, add the spinach, sour cream, mayo, soup mix, and water chestnuts and stir well.
2. Now, cover and let it cool for 2 to 3 hours.
3. Mix well and pour on the round bread.

Chicken Almond Strips

Ingredients
  • Egg whites, 2
  • Chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch strips), 1 lb.
  • Ground almonds, 1 cup
  • Cornstarch, ½ cup
  • Vegetable oil, 2 tbsp.
  • Sugar, 1 tsp.
  • Sherry, 1 tsp.
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
  • Honey mustard
Preparation

1. In a large bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar, salt, and sherry until smooth.
2. Gradually add the egg whites. Place the chicken strips in this mixture. Then, coat the strips with the almonds.
3. Now, take a large skillet and add the chicken strips and fry them for 7 minutes or till they acquire a pink color.
4. Serve this appetizer sizzling hot.

Deviled Eggs with Bell Peppers

Ingredients
  • Hard-cooked eggs, 12
  • Low-fat mayonnaise dressing, ½ cup
  • Sliced bell peppers, ½ cup
  • Dijon mustard, 2 tsp.
  • Red pepper, ½ tsp.
  • Salt to taste
Preparation

1. Cut each egg into half and gently remove the entire egg yolk.
2. Place all the egg yolks in a bowl and mash them.
3. Add the bell peppers, mayonnaise dressing, mustard, ground red pepper, and salt and mix well.
4. Place the egg whites in a 15 - 10 inch jelly roll pan lined with paper towels.
5. Now, add the yolk mixture in the egg whites and serve.

Lamb Canapes

Ingredients
  • Plain white bread, 6 slices
  • Garlic cloves (peeled and chopped), 2
  • Large egg beaten, 1
  • Lamb meat, 12 oz.
  • Chopped dried apricots, 2 oz.
  • Sliced scallions, ½ cup
  • Melted unsalted butter, ½ cup
  • Fresh mint leaves (chopped), 1 tsp.
  • Sea salt, 1 tsp.
  • Freshly ground black pepper, ½ tsp.
  • Red chili flakes, ½ tsp.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except cheese, bread, and butter.
3. Remove the crust of the bread and discard.
4. On each slice, apply melted butter and then cut the slices into 2 inch squares.
5. Now, make each square into a mini muffin.
6. Then, fill the bread with the lamb mixture, but make sure you don't fill it in excess.
7. Finally, add the grated cheese on the top and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the bread gets toasted nicely and the meat gets cooked well.

  • Worcestershire sauce, dash

1. In a small bowl, add all the ingredients and stir gently and properly.

Guacamole

Ingredients
  • Avocados, 2
  • Jalapeño chile (finely chopped), 1
  • Tomato, 1
  • Cilantro leaves (fresh and chopped), ½ cup
  • Sweet onion (finely chopped), ¼ cup
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
  • Tortilla Chips
Preparation

1. Take a mortar and pestle and make a paste of jalapeño, cilantro, onion, and salt.
2. Ensure that the mixture becomes thick and juicy.
3. Then, cut the avocados into half and remove the seeds and peel as well.
4. Cut the tomato into half and squeeze out the juices and seeds.
5. Now, add the tomato and avocados in the mortar and grind until the mixture turns smooth.
6. Guacamole tastes best when eaten fresh.
7. If you are not going to eat it fresh, then wrap it with a plastic sheet to prevent discoloration and keep it in the refrigerator.
