Easy Guacamole Recipes

For all those who do not know what guacamole is, it is a very typical Mexican food, an appetizer dip to be precise, and one that is enjoyed by people all over the world. Made with ripe avocados, this appetizer is simple and can be made in a lot of variations. Here are some easy recipes that you can prepare at home.

Traditional Method

Ingredients:
  • Lemon Juice, 3 tbsp.
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
  • Cayenne Pepper, ⅛ tsp.
  • Avocados, 3
  • Sour Cream, ⅓ cup
  • Grape Tomatoes, ½ cup (chopped)
Preparation:
  • Take a medium-sized bowl and add lemon juice, salt, and cayenne pepper in it.
  • Now cut the avocados in half and remove the seeds with a knife. Then remove their flesh from the skin with a spoon.
  • Add the pulp of the avocado to the lemon juice mixture and mash it well, but don't make it into a paste.
  • Stir in the sour cream, blend well, and then add the tomatoes.
  • Cover the dish with a plastic wrap and refrigerate it for 3 hours. Serve immediately.

With Roasted Chili

Ingredients:
  • Anaheim, Hatch or Poblano Chilies, 4 (roasted)
  • Avocado, 4 (medium and ripe)
  • White Onion, ½ (peeled and finely chopped)
  • Serrano Chili, 1
  • Lemon Juice, 2 tbsp.
  • Cilantro, ½ cup (fresh and finely chopped)
  • Salt, 1 tsp.
Preparation:
  • Roast the green chilies, remove their skin, and finely chop them.
  • Clean and pit the avocado. Scoop out its flesh and put it in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add all the other ingredients including the chilies and blend well.
  • Serve it with tortilla chips.

With Szechwan

Ingredients:
  •  Avocado, 1 (peeled and pitted)
  • Garlic Clove, 1 (minced)
  • Ginger, ½ tsp. (minced)
  • Five Spice Powder, ¼ tsp.
  • Sichuan Hot Bean Sauce, ½ tsp.
  • Sesame Oil, ½ tsp.
  • Soy Sauce, ½ tsp.
  • Lemon Juice, 1 tsp.
  • Cilantro, 2 tbsp. (chopped)
  • Sesame Seeds, 1 tbsp. (toasted)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Red Bell Pepper, 2 tbsp. (diced)
  • Red Onion, 2 tbsp. (finely chopped)
Preparation:
  • Remove the pulp and add the avocado in a bowl with garlic, ginger, five-spice powder, hot bean sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, and cilantro.
  • Mash it up with a masher and mix it well in a blender.
  • Add salt, tomato, and red onions and mix them well.
  • Chill it in the refrigerator and serve it with chips.

Taco Guacamole

Ingredients:
  • Avocado, 2
  • Lime Juice, 1.
  • Onion, ¼ cup (finely chopped)
  • Cumin, ½ tsp.
  • Chili Powder, ½ tsp.
  • Garlic Clove, 1 (peeled and chopped)
  • Tomato, 1 (deseeded and diced)
  • Lettuce, 1 cup (shredded)
  • Cheese, ¼ cup (shredded)
Preparation:
  • After the avocado has been pitted, peeled, and made into a pulp, you need to add lime juice in a bowl and mix it well.
  • Add all the ingredients and mix well.
  • Garnish it with lettuce leaves and shredded cheese.
  • Serve as soon as it has been chilled.
