Easy Breakfast Ideas

Making a healthy and filling breakfast every morning can be a daunting task, especially if you are hurrying off to work.
Although breakfast is a very important meal of the day, many people try to avoid it. People skip breakfast and have a heavy lunch instead. Having a light lunch can do, but having a filling breakfast is very important because the energy that the body needs after 8-12 hours of starving is obtained by breakfast. The following are some quick and easy breakfast ideas which won't consume much of your time and are also healthy to eat.

Quick Omelet

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon, butter or oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons, water
Process
Take a bowl and beat eggs with 1 tablespoon of water in it, blend well. Take a 10-inch omelet pan and heat the butter in it. Pour the egg mixture on the pan, the mixture will set immediately so with the help of a pancake turner push the cooked portion towards the center so that the egg gets cooked entirely. When cooked, fill the omelet with any desired mixture like steamed vegetables or shredded cheese and serve immediately.

Apple Waffles

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon, baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons, sugar
  • 1 tablespoon, vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon, cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon, salt
  • 1 cup, milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 medium apple (peeled and shredded)
  • ½ cup, melted butter
  • 2 cups, flour
Process
Take a large mixing bowl and beat the eggs into it until creamy. Add milk, vanilla, and melted butter to the eggs and beat well until fluffy.
Take another bowl and sift baking powder, flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon into it. Now, add the egg mixture to this mixture and blend well. Add in shredded apple and bake the mixture in batches, in the waffle iron or waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Breakfast Burritos

Ingredients
  • 6 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup, shredded Mexican-flavor cheese blend
  • 8 ounce(s) uncooked spicy breakfast sausages, casings removed
  • 1 large sweet potato (peeled)
  • 4 (10-inch) flour tortillas
  • ½ red onion (chopped)
Process
Dice the sweet potatoes into small pieces and set it aside. Take a non-stick skillet, melt the butter in it and add the onion along with the diced sweet potato. Cook until the potatoes are tender, stir frequently. When done, remove from heat and pour into a bowl.
Add sausages to the pan, stir to break them into small pieces. When done, put the sausages on paper towels to drain the excess grease. If the skillet has become completely dry, add a little butter and cook the eggs on it, until slightly cooked but moist.
Now, warm the tortillas in a microwave on high for about 25 seconds. When done, lay each piece on a flat surface. Fill them with one-fourth of eggs followed by one-fourth of sausages on top of the eggs, and lastly, the sweet potato mixture on top of the sausages. Follow the same procedure for all tortillas. When done, add the shredded cheese on each tortilla and then wrap the tortillas, tucking the bread at the sides.
