Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes

When cookies and chocolate are combined together, the result is simply delicious and irresistible. Double chocolate chip cookies are usually prepared from cocoa, butter, brown sugar, and chocolate chips, and can be eaten as an evening snack with coffee or tea, and even as a dessert.
Preparing them is not as time-consuming as they seem to be. Hence, if you wish to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings, here are some ways for you on how to do that.

Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 large egg

Directions

In a large bowl, combine the butter with the white and brown sugars, using an electric mixer on high speed. Add the egg and vanilla extract to it; blend again on low speed. In another bowl, sift the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, together. Slowly add this dry mixture to the butter mixture and blend well until fully incorporated.
Now, fold the chocolate chips into the mixture and shape the dough into about 1½-inch balls. Transfer these to a parchment paper and bake them in a preheated oven at 350 °F for 10 to 12 minutes. Allow them to cool down and then transfer the cookies to a wire rack.

White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 4½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Dutch cocoa
  • 2½ cups white chocolate chips or chunks
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups butter (one pound), softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1⅓ cups brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter with the brown and white sugars, using an electric mixer on high speed. Add the eggs (one at a time) and vanilla extract to it; blend again on low speed. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt, together; set it aside.
Slowly add this dry mixture to the butter mixture and blend well until fully incorporated. Now, add the white chocolate chips and mix well. Using a cookie scoop, spoon the batter onto the parchment paper or greased baking sheet, leaving a little space between them.
Place these in a preheated oven and bake at 350 °F for 10 to 12 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool down and then transfer them to a wire rack.

Chocolate Chip Peanut Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (6 oz.) peanut butter chips
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1½ sticks (¾ cup) unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup chunky or creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs

Directions

In a mixing bowl, sift the dry ingredients―flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder―together. In another bowl, combine the butter, peanut butter, and sugar, using an electric mixer on high speed, until light and fluffy. Add the eggs (one at a time), vanilla extract, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips; blend again on low speed.
Using a cookie scoop, spoon the batter onto the parchment paper, leaving some distance between them. Place the sheet in a preheated oven and bake at 350 °F for 10 to 12 minutes. Once they come down to room temperature, transfer them to a wire rack.
