Crust-less Quiche Recipes

Preparing quiche at home is not as complicated as it may sound. This Story will give you information about some simple recipes for preparing crust-less quiche at home.
Quiche is a part of the French cuisine. There are many components that are added into the main ingredients, which can be altered to prepare several unique recipes. Generally most of the varieties are prepared with a crunchy crust, but here are certain innovative recipes which are prepared without it.

With Eggs, Bacon, and Cheese

Ingredients
  • Butter, ¼ cup
  • Milk, ¾ cup
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
  • Dijon Mustard, ½ tsp.
  • Eggs, 5
  • Cottage Cheese, 1 cup
  • Baking Powder, ½ tsp.
  • Parmesan Cheese, 3 tbsp. (grated)
  • Green Onions, ¼ cup (chopped)
  • Cream Cheese, 4 oz. (softened)
  • Swiss Cheese, 6 oz. (shredded)
  • Bacon, 3 slices (cooked and crumbled)
  • Cherry Tomatoes, 6 (cut in half)
Preparation
Place a saucepan on high heat and then melt the butter in it. Keep stirring the mixture till it turns bubbly. Add the milk gradually. Once it thickens remove it from the heat and let it cool down for 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Combine baking powder, cottage cheese and mustard. Sprinkle some salt over it and let it rest for some time.
Beat the eggs in a large mixing bowl. Add the cream and cottage cheese mixture in the milk preparation. Add the Swiss and Parmesan cheese. Pour this in a buttered pie plate, which is around 10" in diameter. Sprinkle the onions on top, along with some bits of crumbled bacon. Place the tomato halves above this. Now, bake this at 350° F for around 40 minutes. Once it turns a light shade of brown, let it rest for 15 minutes and then serve warm.

With Ham and Cheese

Ingredients
  • Onions, 1 cup (frozen and chopped)
  • Swiss Cheese, 2 cups (shredded)
  • Eggs, 4
  • Whole Milk, 1 cup
  • Heavy Cream, 1 cup
  • Ham, 1 cup (diced and cooked)
  • Unsalted Butter, 1 tbsp.
  • Fine Dry Plain Bread Crumbs, 1½ tbsp.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 425° F. Butter the dish and sprinkle some bread crumbs in it. You can use a 10" pie plate. Cook onions and ham with butter in a large and heavy skillet.
Cook on medium high heat with occasional stirring, for 5 minutes. Place this evenly in the dish and sprinkle some cheese on top. Whisk the cream, milk, and eggs together. Add 1 tsp. pepper. Pour this mixture over the cheese. Bake the preparation for 20 minutes. Let it cool down slightly, after baking. Then cut it into medium-sized pieces and serve.
