Breakfast Recipes for a Crowd

Making an elaborate breakfast is a difficult and time-consuming task. Here are some recipes for a large group of people, which will definitely save your time and extensive efforts.
Everybody likes to have guests at home but cooking for them is a challenging task, as there are people with different tastes under one roof, so the chances of all of them liking one common dish is not really possible. However there are many recipes that are sure to be liked by one and all, and are also easy-to-make.

Crowd Burger

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound, ground beef
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 6 slices, processed cheese
  • 1 tablespoon, oil
  • 2 tablespoons, dill pickle (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons, catsup
  • 2 tablespoons, onion (finely chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon, pepper
  • 1 tablespoon, mustard
  • 1 teaspoon, salt
  • Aluminum foil
Process:

Heat the oil in a large skillet and sauté the beef in it. Let it cook until it is crumbled. When cooked, drain the excessive fat and season with salt and pepper; let cool. Add in onion, pickle, and mustard, mix well, and spoon onto bottom of the buns.
Top the buns with cheese slice and wrap them in a 10-inch square aluminum foil. Place them in a crock and cook on low heat, covered for 3-4 hours or until well-heated. You can even refrigerate these burgers until needed, before cooking them.

Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces, ciabatta bread (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 pound, turkey breakfast sausage
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) reduced-fat shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1¼ cups, fat-free milk
  • 1 (8-ounce) carton, egg substitute
  • 2 tablespoons, fresh parsley (chopped)
  • ½ cup, green onions (chopped)
  • Cooking spray
Process:

This is an easy recipe for breakfast casserole. Preheat the oven to 400 ºF. Place the bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet and heat for about 8 minutes in the preheated oven. Coat a medium skillet with cooking spray and heat it. Cook the sausages in the heated skillet for about 6 minutes or until browned.
Take a large bowl and add the onions, bread, and sausages to it, set it aside. In a medium bowl, mix eggs, egg substitute, cheese, and milk with a whisk. Now, combine the bread mixture and milk mixture, toss to coat the bread. Coat a 2 quart baking dish with cooking spray and spoon the mixture into it.
Cover and refrigerate for about 8 hours or overnight. Next day, preheat the oven to 350 ºF and bake the casserole in it for about 50 minutes or until set. Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.

Easy Pancakes

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups, old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup, whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups, buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup, all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons, butter (melted)
  • 2 teaspoons, sugar
  • 1 teaspoon, salt
  • 1½ teaspoons, baking powder
  • ½ teaspoons, baking soda
Process:

The night before, combine buttermilk and oatmeal to form a batter, cover and refrigerate it until the next day. Next morning, sift baking soda, sugar, baking powder, both flours, and salt, set aside. Take a large mixing bowl and beat the eggs in until frothy.
Add the cooled butter, blend well, and then add the oatmeal mixture. Blend this mixture quickly into the flour mixture. If the batter too thick, add 2-4 tablespoons of buttermilk, but not more than that. Fry the pancakes at 345 ºF on electric grill, use 1 tablespoon oil for each batch. Serve immediately with warmed maple syrup.
