Breakfast Ideas for Camping

You need more energy while camping outdoors, which is why you must eat a heavy breakfast that will give you that fuel, so that you are active all day long!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It's the fuel which allows you to pull through the day's activities effortlessly. And, if you are camping, breakfast is something you just can't afford to miss out on.
So, if you are going camping this weekend, you will need to pack enough food items to cook easy meals while camping. You will have to decide on what camping food you need to take, so that you have it in sufficient quantity, and don't waste much time in chopping or cutting it.

Bacon and Eggs with Pita

Ingredients
  • 3 strips of bacon or sausage
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 pinches grated Parmesan
  • Dry onion soup mix
  • Grated horseradish
  • 2 pita pockets
  • 2 tablespoons salsa
Directions
♨ Cut the bacon length-wise and fry them with eggs.
♨ Once done, add the dry onion soup mix.
♨ Spread some salsa on the pita pockets and stuff the fried mix on it and garnish it with grated horseradish.
♨ Serve it hot.

Bean and Egg Tortillas

Ingredients
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 4 eggs
  • Flour tortillas
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
♨ Rinse the black beans and empty them in a skillet with salsa.
♨ Boil the two together.
♨ In a different pan or a bowl, break the eggs, and cook them well.
♨ Once the eggs are done, mix a scoop of beans with the eggs and garnish it with shredded cheese.
♨ Stuff it in a tortilla and eat it hot.

Blueberry Maple Pancakes

Ingredients
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 1 pint maple syrup
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Cooking oil
Directions
♨ Pour the maple syrup in a pan and heat it for a bit.
♨ Add the blueberries to it and mash the two well.
♨ Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt (as per your taste) in a bowl.
♨ In another bowl, mix beaten egg, melted butter, milk, and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and remaining blueberries.
♨ Now mix all the ingredients, and pour ¼ cup of batter onto a hot pan.
♨ Cook until its half brown and flip it to cook the same way.
♨ Serve it hot with the remaining blueberry maple syrup.

Broccoli Omelet

Ingredients
  • 1 pouch-type broccoli in cheese sauce
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons water
Directions
♨ Boil the broccoli and the cheese sauce.
♨ While boiling it, beat the eggs with 2 tbsp of water.
♨ Once the broccoli is cooked, set it aside.
♨ In a frying pan, partly cook the eggs and pour in the broccoli with the cheese sauce.
♨ Cook till it is firm and ready to eat.
Cooking and camping are fun if the recipes are easy to make. The aforementioned breakfast ideas for camping do not require much time and are extremely filling. Make sure that you take adequate ingredients, while you are going camping, because the campsite will not have stores to cater to your needs. Have a happy and a safe trip!
