Beef Rib Steak Recipe

One day, on an unplanned dinner with friends, I chanced upon a delicious beef recipe. The meat was perfectly done and the flavor of each ingredient was also distinct. When asked, I was told that it was the beef rib steak. Coming back home, I tried the same after a couple of days. And believe me, it was just too fantastic. Here are some delectable recipes of beef rib steak which you can cook at home.

Grilled Beef Rib Steak

Ingredients
  • Trimmed beef rib steaks, 1 inch, 3
  • Zucchini, large, 1
  • Cherry tomatoes, 6 to 8, cut in halves
  • Mushrooms, sliced, ½ cup
  • Medium-sized onion, cut into thin wedges, 1
  • Olive oil, 3 tablespoons
  • Dried basil leaves, crushed, 1½ teaspoons
  • Garlic cloves, minced, 6 to 8
  • Coarsely ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
Cooking Instructions 

Get all the ingredients ready and preheat the grill. Take a large bowl and marinate the beef rib steaks with minced garlic, crushed basil leaves and coarsely ground black pepper. Make sure all the sides are evenly covered in this mixture. After an hour grill the steaks, uncovered, over medium heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, till the meat is done. Remove the steaks from the grill and place them on a plate.
In the mean time, take a large nonstick skillet and heat olive oil. Once the oil becomes hot, put the remaining garlic paste, along with the onion and cook till the onion becomes tender. Now add the zucchini and mushrooms and stir till the vegetables are cooked. Stir in the tomatoes, crushed basil leaves and salt to taste and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer the vegetables over the steaks and enjoy it hot.

Beef Rib Steak in Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
  • Beef rib steaks, 5 to 6
  • Fresh mushrooms, sliced, 1 cup
  • Green onions, chopped, ½ cup
  • Beef broth, ¾ cup
  • Madeira wine, ⅓ cup
  • Butter, softened, 8 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch, 2½ teaspoons
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, 2 tablespoons
  • Freshly ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon
  • Whipping cream, 1½ cups
  • Salt to taste
Cooking Instructions

For making this recipe for beef rib steak, clean the steaks and trim the fat. Melt about 4 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet. Cook the rib steaks for about 10 minutes till the sides are browned and meat is medium rare.
Transfer the cooked steaks to a platter. In the same skillet, pour the beef broth and wine, reducing the amount by bringing it to boil. Meanwhile, in a separate skillet, saute the green onions and mushrooms till they become light brown. Sprinkle pepper and salt and stir once.
In a small bowl, whisk the cream with the cornstarch till it becomes smooth. Add this mixture to the skillet and allow it to simmer. Now add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook it for 2 minutes, sprinkling pepper and salt to taste.
Transfer the beef to the skillet and cover it. Reduce the heat and allow the sauce to simmer. Open the cover and blend the remaining butter, garnish it with chopped parsley. This beef rib steak recipe is best enjoyed with baked potatoes or hot cooked noodles.

Beef Rib Steaks with Pepper

Ingredients
  • Beef rib steaks, 8 to 10
  • Green bell pepper, large, cut in rings, 1
  • Medium-sized onion, chopped finely, ½ cup
  • Beef broth, 1 cup
  • Stewed tomatoes, 1 can
  • Garlic cloves, mashed, 2 tablespoons
  • Water, ¼ cup
  • Olive oil, 4 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce, 2 tablespoons
  • Freshly ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch, 1½ tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
Cooking Instructions

Brown the meat in a medium skillet for about 15 to 20 minutes. Once the meat has cooked, add the onion and garlic, seasoning it with pepper and salt. Next, stir in the beef broth and cover the skillet, so that the ingredients get incorporated.
Reduce the heat and allow the broth to simmer, for about 30 minutes, till the meat becomes tender. Transfer the green bell pepper and stewed tomatoes to the skillet and blend the remaining ingredients. Allow the mixture to boil, till all the ingredients are cooked. Keep stirring continuously for about 5 minutes. Enjoy this dish with rice or noodles.
