Barbecue Baby Back Ribs Recipes

Hot and Smoky Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients
  • Baby Back Pork Ribs, 2 racks, 1 lb each
  • Ground Red Chili Pepper, 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable Oil, 2¼ teaspoons
  • Minced Onion, ½ cup
  • Tomato Paste, ½ cup
  • White Vinegar, ½ cup
  • Brown Sugar, ½ cup
  • Honey, 2½ tablespoons
  • Worcestershire Sauce, 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and Ground Black Pepper, for taste
  • Liquid Smoke, 1¼ teaspoons
  • Whiskey, 2 teaspoons
  • Garlic Powder, 2 teaspoons
  • Paprika, ¼ teaspoon
  • Onion Powder, ½ teaspoon
  • Dark Molasses, 1 tablespoon
  • Water, 1½ cups
Method
  • Mix salt, black pepper, and chili powder in a bowl; this will our dry rub for the ribs.
  • Rub the seasoning on both sides of each rack and leave them aside to prepare the sauce.
  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and bake them for an hour.
  • Meanwhile, we'll prepare the sauce. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add onions.
  • Cook the onions for 5 minutes and add tomato paste, vinegar, brown sugar, honey, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Add salt, black pepper, smoke flavoring, whiskey, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, dark molasses, ½ tablespoon ground chili pepper to the onion and stir all the ingredients properly.
  • Let the mixture come to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer till it thickens.
  • Remove the ribs from the oven and rest them for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Grill ribs at least 15 minutes on each side, lifting and checking in between, for 30 minutes total.
  • Brush the sauce we prepared at the final 10 minutes of grilling.
  • If you brush the sauce early on, the sauce will burn as it has sugar in it.

Baby Back Ribs with Tangy Sauce

Ingredients
  • Baby Back Pork Ribs, 1 rack
  • Ketchup, 1 cup
  • Pineapple Juice, 1 cup
  • Brown Sugar, 2 tablespoons
  • Worcestershire Sauce, 2 tablespoons
  • Soy Sauce, 2 teaspoons
  • Salt and Black Pepper, for taste
Method
  • In a bowl, mix ketchup, pineapple juice, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce together.
  • Marinate the ribs in the sauce for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Place ribs in the roasting pan and let it bake for an hour at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Remove the ribs from the oven and rest them for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Grill ribs at least 15 minutes on each side, lifting and checking in between, for 30 minutes total.
  • Baste ribs at the last 10 minutes with the remaining marinade.
Don't cut and serve the ribs just as they are done cooking. Let the ribs rest for at least 5 minutes before you slice individual ribs. This way, you'll get the mouth-watering taste of ribs and enjoy the barbecue as it should be.
