Balsamic vinegar is a perfect condiment for using directly in salad recipes. Originated in Italy, the traditional balsamic vinegar was prepared from white grape juice after cooking, but not vinegar. This is the traditional way of making richly flavored, sweet and viscous balsamic vinegar.
When combined with oil and other culinary herbs, balsamic vinegar makes a savory dressing for green salads. And believe me, this salad dressing converts a plain tasting salad dish into something special that you will love to have frequently.
