Pumpkin seeds, also known as pepitas, serve as a nutritious and flavorful treat for many. Here's an article elucidating the procedure for baking these seeds.
These small, subtly sweet, crunchy pumpkin seeds are highly nutritious and delicious. They are loaded with certain essential amino acids and zinc, which boost our immune system. You can roast them in an oven, toast them in a skillet, or cook them in a microwave.

Baking Procedure

Things Required:
  • Fresh pumpkin seeds
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil or cooking spray
  • Baking tray
  • Spatula
  • Paper towels
  • Kitchen knife
Directions:
1. Cut off the top of a pumpkin and scoop the seeds out. Separate them from the fibers and rinse the seeds until they are free of any pulp or stringy membrane matter. Dry the seeds by spreading them on a paper towel for a few minutes.
2. Spray a baking tray with a nonstick cooking spray or brush it with vegetable oil. Place the seeds on the tray in a single layer. Turn them with the help of a spatula so they are lightly coated with the oil. Sprinkle the seeds with salt.
3. Place the baking tray in a preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 20 minutes until they turn slightly brown and crisp. The temperature for baking must be adjusted to 275°F. Turn them once after 5 minutes.

4. Allow the pumpkin seeds to cool before you eat them. Store them in an airtight container and enjoy them whenever you want.
Those who want seeds with a saltier taste can boil them with salted water for about 10 minutes before baking the seeds. Recipes that include baked pumpkin seeds are many. You can spice up your pumpkin seeds with different seasonings to impart a unique flavor to them.
