... Brown Sugar

Ingredients
  • Light Brown Sugar, 2 cups
  • Butter or Margarine, 1 stick
  • Eggs, 4
  • Low-fat Milk, 1¾ cups
  • French Bread (cut into chunks), 1 loaf
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • Nutmeg, to taste
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Place chunks of break at the bottom of a greased baking pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, brown sugar, and nutmeg, and pour over the bread.
  • Place the baking pan in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or till the top layer turns golden brown.
  • Once cooked, remove the pan from the oven and set it aside.
  • Melt butter in a pan and let it turn a bit brown. Pour it over the French toast, cut pieces, and serve.

... Whole Milk

Ingredients
  • Whole Milk, 3 cups
  • Eggs, 3
  • Vanilla, 1 teaspoon
  • Salt, ⅛ teaspoon
  • Sugar, 3 tablespoons
  • French Bread (1" slices), 1 loaf
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Grease a baking pan generously with butter.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, vanilla, salt, milk, and half quantity of sugar together.
  • Now lay a single layer of bread slices in the pan.
  • Place the pan inside the oven and let it bake for 30 to 35 minutes or till the top layer turns golden brown.
  • While serving, top each piece with butter, or drizzle maple or chocolate syrup.

Ingredients
  • Whole Grain Bread, 8 slices
  • Egg Substitute, ½ cup
  • 2% Milk, ¾ cup
  • Vanilla Extract, 2 teaspoons
  • Cinnamon, ½ teaspoon
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a bowl, whisk egg substitute, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon properly.
  • Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture thoroughly
  • Take a greased baking pan and lay the bread slices in a single layer.
  • Place the pan inside the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or till the top layer turns golden brown.
  • Remove the toast from the oven and let it cool down a bit.
  • Cut into pieces and serve warm.
